Many of Jim's post-Navy pieces reflected his adventures while serving. They are self explanatory. "Its not just a job, its an adventure."  They were not lying.

The middle row are straight 2-D acrylic paintings with the rest 3-D multi-media, a back and forth style shift that seems to continue throughout the rest of his career.  Most have been in regional, national or international competitive exhibitions.
